On September 17,2022, Geneva Franklin passed away in Houston, TX. She was born on May 31st, 1928 in Laneville, TX to Ezekiel and Verna Holman. Geneva Franklin earned her license in Cosmetology and Private Nursing. She was self employed, owning her own beauty shops, and for the latter part of her career, served diligently as a nurse. Geneva had a passion for serving the Lord and gardening.
Preceding her in death are her are her parents Ezekiel and Verna Holman and brothers J. C. Holman and Herman Holman. She is survived by her son Lonnie Mills, grandsons Trevor Battieste, Keldron Mills, and Terrence Mills, great-grandchildren Courtney Battieste, Morgan Mills, Devin Mills, and Kyle Mills. She leaves behind cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.
Funeral service will be held at 11:30am on Friday, September 23rd, 2022 at First John Church, 5205 South Acres Dr, Houston, Tx 77048. A committal service will occur Friday, September 23, 2022 at 1:00pm at Paradise Cemetery South, 2237 Cullen Blvd, Pearland, TX 77581.
