George B. Garcia entered into rest on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at the age of 96. He served in the United States Army during World War ll. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church where he served as a deacon for over 30 years. Mr. Garcia is preceded in death by his wife Margaret A. Garcia. He is survived by his son Michael H. Garcia Sr., his 5 grandchildren: Esther M. Guy, Michelle E. Garcia, Michael H. Garcia Jr., Richard A. Garcia and Shauna R. Garcia, and 14 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members. Visitation will be Monday, March 11, 2013 at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home from 5-9 PM with the Rosary beginning at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church 7539 Ave K, Houston, TX 77012 on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 10:00 AM with internment to follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. A reception will follow at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church cafeteria
