Geraldine Guedry

Geraldine was discovered deceased in her home on December 15, 2016. She was born on July 2, 1942 in Houston, Texas to Everett Odell Guedry and Teresa (Luczak) Guedry.

Geraldine was a life-long Catholic and attended St. Cecilias Catholic Church during her later years. She grew up in southeast Houston and attended Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Geraldine graduated from Stephen F Austin High School in 1961. She began her career in retail and later various clerical positions. Her favorite work experience was her last 27 years at Chick-fil-A which allowed her to meet and visit with a great number of different people. Geraldine enjoyed tending to her various plants but her main enjoyment came from visiting with her neighbors.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Teresa Guedry.

Geraldine is survived by her brothers and their wives, Donald and Laurie Guedry of Livingston, TX and Marvin and Rickey Guedry of Spring, TX; nieces Jennifer Northcutt, Katherine Sniderwin, Leslie Johnson; nephew Donald Guedry, Jr.; a grandniece and seven grandnephews

The family will be meeting with visitors from 5:00pm to 6:00pm on Dec 29, 2016 with Rosary following at 6:00pm. Burial service will begin at 10:00am on Dec 30 at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Geraldine will be laid to rest next to her Mom and Dad in the family plot at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. There will be a reception immediately following the burial service at the funeral home. Pall bearers will be Donald Guedry, Jr., Caleb Guedry, Brett Sniderwin, Bryce Sniderwin, Alan Northcutt and Travis Johnson. Arrangements are being handled by Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home.
