Gertrude was a devoted wife and mother. She loved her role as grandmother and great grandmother. This role brought many smiles and laughter. She enjoyed putting together our family’s genealogy history and sharing photos. Other passions she enjoyed were cooking and gardening. While gardening she loved to find caterpillars, place them in jars and watch them morph into butterflies. She would then release them back to nature. She shared this experience with many family members and friends. She enjoyed her time with family and friends by playing cards, dancing, and traveling. She was a social butterfly and rarely met a stranger. She enjoyed the final chapter of her life interacting with her cat “Kitty Cat” and other family pets where she found much laughter and comfort.
The family is very grateful for the caregivers from Traditions Health In-Home care services, Visiting Angels and Hudson Creek for their compassionate care and assistance during her time in hospice.
Pallbearers are Jeff Houston, Dan Butler, Matt Jones, Lee Adams, Cameron Munsell, Jeff Seaton and Rodney Eckert.
