Glenda was a loving wife, mother&grandmother. She was a friend to many and her kindness, caring and generosity were a blessing to those fortunate enough to have known her. She was very dedicated to her family and also an enthusiastic volunteer in many local organizations, including the following:

Volunteer at the Houston Veterans Hospital for many years.
An avid bowler, she was very active in the local and national bowling community.
In early 1980, Glenda was appointed to the Houston Women's Bowling Association’s Board of Directors. She served under four presidents as a director, 2nd vice president, 1st vice president and in 1995 was elected president reigning for six years. She was elected Life Member upon retirement from the office of president.
In 1994, Glenda served as co-chair of the Texas Women's Bowling Association's tournament when it was held in Houston. She also served the TWBA on the Minutes Committee.
Glenda was the recipient of the TWBA State Volunteer Award in 1999 and in 2003 she was honored by having the "Glenda Millar Volunteer Award" established in her name recognizing her many years of volunteer service to our association.
A dedicated volunteer for over 20 years, Glenda was always available on Tuesday nights, when she and others would go to the Veteran's Hospital, taking refreshments and keeping scores for the bowlers. They would give the participants a nickel for a spare and a quarter for a strike. Even though the bowling center is gone, she still went and visited the wards and planned Christmas parties for them.
She was inducted into the Houston Bowlers Hall of Fame in 2009.
