Glendon Amos "Smitty" Smith

Glendon Amos Smith (Smitty), age 77, of Spring, Texas, went to be with his Savior Wednesday, March 4, 2015. He was born July 23, 1937 in Rosenberg, Texas. He was a member of Masonic Lodge, Spring Lodge #1174. Smitty was fortunate enough to retire twice in his life, once from Sheet Metal Local 54, and secondly from North Harris (Lone Star) College after 30 years of service where he had a major impact on many co-workers lives as well as the lives of many students. He was preceded in death by his wife, Winnie Mae Smith; mother, Rosie Murchison Smith; and father, Amos H. Smith. He is survived by his sister, Joyce Branch and husband Willie E. Branch, Jr.; nephews, Tom Branch and Mike Branch and wife Pat; and numerous great nephews and nieces. Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 9, 2015 in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven. Interment will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
