Glyn Louis Madden, 83, of Houston TX surrounded by family went to be with the Lord Easter Sunday, April 1, 2018. Glyn was born December 18, 1934. He was the son of Fras & Mary Madden. He is preceded in death by his parents Fras & Mary Madden, wife Betty, brothers Sam, Truman, & George Edward, sisters Velva & Verna. Glyn is survived by daughter Paula Wise, son Brad Madden & wife Marsha, grandson Taylor Madden & fiancé Anna, granddaughter Renee Hynes & husband Jesse; sisters, Joyce Curry, Early Tilbury and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins & very close friends. Glyn was born in Apple Springs TX and raised there until his family moved to Houston. He graduated from Aldine High School in 1952. He married Betty Bryant Sept. 25, 1954. They were married 54 years before Betty’s passing. Glyn was a Sergeant in the National Guard, Member of Broadway Baptist Church, a member of the Park Place Masonic Lodge 1172, and a proud member of the NRA. He enjoyed visiting the V.A. Hospital of Houston, traveling when he could, and most of all spending time with family and friends. Glyn will be missed by all that knew him. Officiating Glyn’s service will be nephew Michael Madden. Pallbearers Pat Huitt, Ed Tilbury, Doug Teague, Shayne Giese, Brad Madden & Taylor Madden. Honorary Pallbearers Glen Self, Billy McPike, Darrel Harry, & Jimmie Shelton.
Visitation will be at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home on Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 5:00PM to 9:00PM. Funeral service will be on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 2:00PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
