Harrison Elijah Jones affectionately known as "Boy" was born on September 25, 1960 to DeQuincy Jones and Viola Silas Jones in Houston, Texas. He was the third child of three siblings. Harrison attended Houston Public Schools. Harrison worked at Memorial Northwest Hospital in the dietary department in the 1980's. He was a handyman willing to help anyone. He loved his neighborhood Rosenlyn Heights'. You could rely on Boy to keep up with what was going on in the neighborhood, go by and check on the elderly ones, and pay his respects whenever there was death in the neighborhood. One would say he was a character. Harrison accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by the late Pastor H. L. Goode at Greater Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church. Harrison also attended New Hope Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor Green Walker. At New Hope he attended Sunday school, sang in the choir and he would usher with his mother. On Monday, June 9, 2014, after having an illness that he refused to keep him down, he entered into a peaceful sleep and entered in the gates of heaven with a peace that surpasses all understanding. Harrison fought a good fight and he has finished his course. Harrison was truly loved by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandmother; Elirtaer Jackson; aunt, Louise Sims; uncles, John Sims and Leo Alexander and nephew Allen Douglas Jr. He leaves to cherish his memories his brother Allen Douglas Sr. (Delores); sister, Quincy Daughtry; one aunt, Shirley Alexander; one uncle, Elder Manuel Jackson (Patricia); two nephews James and Derrek Daughtry and a host nieces, cousins and friends. Harrison was loved but God loved him more.
