Helen Wong Hom, 89, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 4, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Quock Foo Hom and survived by her sister Mamie W. Moy and brother Dr. Edward K. Wong. She will be greatly missed by her children, David Hom and wife, Janet; Priscilla Lou and husband, Mitchell Lou; Dr. Gary Hom and wife, Karen; and Teresa Lau and husband, Dr. Henry Lau; her grandchildren, Ian McLellan and wife, Jamie; Kevin, Adam and Andrew Hom; Katharine, Kristen and Joseph Lau; her great-grandchildren, Taylor and Shane McLellan; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be remembered for her outgoing personality and generosity, as well as her love and devotion to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, May 8, 2011, from 5-7 p.m.; Funeral Service will be Monday, May 9, 2011, at 10 a.m. at Forest Park Lawndale. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethany United Methodist Church or a charity of your choice.
