

Henry Clarence “Hank” Williams, was born in Chicago, Illinois on Thursday, January 10, 1929 to parents Clarence Henry Williams and Mabel (Keith) Williams. With his daughter by his side, he passed away at home on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at the age of 85.
Hank graduated East Troy High School in East Troy, Wisconsin and was a 1950 graduate from the University of Wisconsin. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and entered Officers Candidate School. By profession, Hank was an Electrical Engineer. While living in Chicago, Illinois, his career brought his family to Houston, Texas in 1974, where he became involved in many community activities.
Hank retired from J.R. Woodruff Co. after more than 25 years of service. He was a longtime member of John Knox Presbyterian Church and, thanks to his wife Audrey, was an avid fisherman.
On August 12, 2008, Hank was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 56 years, Audrey Dorothy (Blum) Williams. He is survived by his devoted daughter, Amelia L. Williams and a cousin, Mary Ann Gaddie.
Amelia would like to express her heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Jeffrey Y. Lee, Dr. Minh A. Tran and Dr. Philip Cimo, who together, with their professional, loving care and support allowed her to have her father these last few years.
Family and friends gathered for a visitation at Waltrip Funeral Directors, 1415 Campbell Road in Houston, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 31, 2014, where funeral services, led by Reverend M. Eugene Vickrey, were held in the chapel at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2014. Privately and at a later date, Hank was laid to rest with his wife, Audrey, at Houston National Cemetery, also in Houston.
