I was just doing a Facebook search to connect to old friends and came across this.  I am shocked and devastated at reading this news. We worked together in the 90's and I was very fond of Alden. I lost my brother in our 30's and I know how hard it is to lose a young loved one. My best to Angela and all of Alden's family.

He brother now it has been a year officially since the Lord saw fit to take you away from your pain and suffering. Unfortunately, that decision took you away from us too. I know that you are watching over Lane and Skylyn, they miss you as much as I do. Both of them love you as much today as they did then. Help us live the way that your memory and life has taught us to live. Hope to see one on the other side, if the Lord wishes it for me. I love you brother. Miss you every time I think of calling you. Yesterday, I completed the last mundane task required of the living when someone passes.  Today, I become your wife again!  Love you Alden!

To Angela and all of Alden's family -

I am a former co-worker of Alden's at Plains All American from 2000-2006.  What a great guy he was - I will always have such wonderful memories of him and his great attitude!  He was always willing to help, always kind, and always had a smile on his face.
  
I had to laugh at another posters comment about Alden probably already having 3 jobs in heaven.  That was the perfect comment and so true!

Alden will be greatly missed but always in my thoughts.  My prayers go out to all of his family.

I never met Alden, but from what I have heard about him he was a wonderful person.  He has touched the hearts of many people.  Just know that the world was a better place because of Alden and now heaven is even better with him there.
Please know that everyone is saddened by your loss.  Words cannot express our sorrow.  We are here if you need us.

You do not know I or my husband.  We had the priviledge of teaching Alden in High School Bible Study.  He could ask some great questions. He was a wonderful young man.  We know he is in God's loving hands now.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you now and in the following weeks.  Alden is Free!!!
Isaiah 57: 1  Read this verse and it will spreak to you.  We are truly sorry and deeply saddened by your loss.

Sweet Alden...that is how I remember you. You were always so kind to everyone and our family enjoyed the times you and your mother spent with us over the years. It has been many years since we have seen you and yet, I can remember what a great sense of humor you had. You were so smart but never made anyone feel stupid when you were around. I remember that you always were so respectful of everyone, especially your mother, and I know from reading these lovely tributes to you that you hadn't changed. What a hole you will leave in the lives of all those you touched but I am so excited to know I will see you again! I am sure as my mother said you are playing cards with your grandparents and my brother, Marshall. Tell him Hi for me. I also know that the bible says in II Corinthians 5:6-8
"Therefore we are always confident, knowing that....to be absent from the body, (is) to be present with the Lord."

That's where you are now, Alden. In the glorious arms of the Father who held you so closely while you were here on earth. Now, you get to see His beautiful face and I agree with your mother that I am a bit jealous!

I have not met you personally but know you will be in the thoughts and prayers of my family as often as we think of Alden. Praying peace in the midst of the storm.

Words cannot adequately express how sorry I am for your loss. Although we know Alden is safe and in the presence of our Savior, his absence will be felt for years to come. Know you are in my thoughts and prayers and I ask God to give you unspeakable comfort and peace.

Where do I begin, friend.  I loved Alden like a son also.  He was such a
blessing.  He was caring, tender hearted, energetic and a true friend.  He will be missed.  I know he is with his Lord and Savior. Totally healed!

Angela-I pray the love of God enfolds you during your difficult times and he helps you heal with the passage of time.

Alden-God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered "come to me." With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.

My Cuz, You and I have always known that God put you in a "slightly irregular" body because he didn't know any other way to slow you down!  Try as He might though, you ran the whole way - never doubting or fearing what blessings might be in store for us all the next day.  You've been an inspiration to me since they day I learned what a cousin is and I love you.  Who is going to get my jokes now?
I am glad you are home now and I can't wait to see you there.  If there are chickens in heaven, start apologizing now.  For the both of us.

Alden, I'll miss you! I could always count on Alden for two things: a good story and a wonderful sense of humor unmatched by anyone else I know. You will truely be missed! I am so very thankful to have worked with you at CHRISTUS and consider you a true friend. You always lived life to the fullest and were always ready to tell a good joke!  Although your time with us was not long enough we learned so much from you.  I am sure God has many plans for you in heaven.

Alden was a great and loving guy and he will be missed dearly.  We spend our 'Wonderful Teenage Years' together at Baptist Temple.  We all have great stories and memories that have all of us BT teens in them.  Alden was the 'Master Mind' of a lot of the crazy fun we had.  Even if he didn't come up with the idea he was always right there for it.  God gave us each other and we will all laugh together again.

I feel privileged to have met Alden.  In my brief encounters with him he made me and everyone around him feel happy and special.  I can truly say that his aura was so special.  Certainly his special light, the special gift of his life to his mother, Peggy, sweet Peggy, and to his wife and other family will never go away.  He is still with us.  Jessica Alexander

Our condolences to Angela and all of the family.  Alden was a good friend and an inspiration to us all.  He truly understood his purpose here on earth.  "Here to Serve" was his signature phrase and he accomplished that purpose with every minute of his life.  Never a complainer, but always one to seize the moment and give one hundred percent, Alden serves us all through his example.  We will fondly remember him always.

Alden was one of the nicest guys I have ever met, his quirky sense of humor and his friendly personality were a joy to be around.  I remember being on the treadmill next to him one day and he was telling me about a bet he had with Angela regarding their pedometer's and who walked the most so he was on the treadmill getting those extra steps in.  He will truly be missed and his family and friends will be in my prayers.  Angela I am truly sorry for your loss.

You showed us what it means to walk with the Lord.  You never complained or succumbed to bitterness, and always had a smile on your face and a joke up your sleeve. You put others first and served to the fullest. The world's loss is heaven's gain.  We miss you and love you dearly.

For most people I would wish "Rest in Peace."  With Alden I keep wondering what job God needed him to do so urgently.

 You were the best step-son, brother and uncle ever.  I love you and miss you.
