

Born on September 5, 1952, Ignacio was a man of deep character, strong values, and unwavering dedication to his family. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Elisa Cervantes and Eliseo Alvarado, and by his cherished grandson, Xavier Alexander Barron.
Ignacio is survived by his devoted wife, Cynthia Ann Alvarado, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories, love, and laughter. He leaves behind a legacy of love in his children: Rose Michelle Rivera and her husband Roel, Tina Marie Rios and her husband Israel, Joe Barron and his wife Catrina, and Andrea Barron Carnero.
He was a caring brother, survived by his siblings Carmen Salas and husband Rey Salas, Sylvia Rodriguez and husband Juan Rodriguez.
He was a proud and loving grandfather to Joshua Balandran, Bianca Ortiz, Ismael Balandran, Roel Alexander Rivera, Adrian Barron, Jace Rios, Avah Carnero, Jayden Barron, Tirzah Barron, Caleb Carnero, Joe Manuel Barron Jr, Catalya Barron, Jessica Archer, Luis Carnero Jr, Alexa Carnero, Isaiah Rios, and Lauren Rios.
A hardworking man from the young age of 13, Ignacio exemplified what it meant to give selflessly and to persevere with determination and humility. He brought energy and joy to every room, whether he was behind the grill at a family BBQ, spinning music as a DJ, belting out songs at karaoke, or dancing the night away.
Ignacio had a deep love for yardwork, sports—especially his Houston Astros and Houston Texans—and cherished vacations with his family. Some of his most treasured moments were spent watching novelas with his wife, where the stories on screen were second only to the one they wrote together.
He will be remembered for his laughter, generosity, strength, and the deep love he had for his family. Ignacio Alvarado’s legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, loved him, and were lucky enough to be loved by him.
