Mr. Ignacio Peña Sr., age 94, of Houston, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014 in St. Joseph Hospital. He was born February 1, 1920 in S. Nicolas de las Garzas de N.L., Mexico and at the age of six moved to Eagle Lake, Texas. He was a retired truck driver. Mr. Peña loved fishing, hunting, listening to baseball on the radio and repairing lawn mowers as a hobby. Survivors include wife Francis Peña; daughter, Alice Cazares; sons, Ignacio Peña Jr. and wife Maria, Bene Peña and wife Elizabeth, Manual Peña, Louis Peña and wife Loretta, Ricky Peña and wife Alma, Jesse Peña and wife Jean; Sisters, Catherine, Mary, Rebecca; 12 Grandchildren; 10 Great-Grandchildren; 1 Great-Great-Grandchild. Preceded in death by parents, Jose Morales Peña and Maria Teresa Peña; Sister, Agustina Campos; Brother, Andrew Peña. Funeral services for Mr. Ignacio Peña Sr., age 94, of Houston, will be held Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at 11 o’clock in the morning at Resurrection Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Forest Park Lawndale cemetery. Family will receive friends Sunday June 8th and Monday June 9th beginning at 9 o’clock in the Morning until 9 o’clock in the evening.
