

James Conrad Dobyanski, 80, was born on June 1, 1944, in Navasota, Texas. James passed away peacefully after a long illness on March 4, 2025. James was the first son of Anne Catherine Kmiecik and Samuel Harold Dobyanski.
He graduated from Bellaire High School in 1962 where he played on the high school football team. In 1967 he graduated from the University of Houston with a business major. James was an avid hunter and traveler. He loved animals, reading, sports and exercising. Above all he loved his family. He worked for KBR, Kellogg Brown and Root, for 45 years taking retirement in 2016.
He met wife Lynn Seipel in 1965 and married in 1967. James and Lynn were married for 58 years. They have two daughters, Melissa Dawn and Kimberly Anne.
James was preceded in death by his parents, a younger brother, Ronald, and younger sister, Melinda. He is survived by wife Lynn and their daughters: Melissa Trantham & husband Tony Trantham, grandchildren: Abigail Trantham Cogdell & husband Justus Cogdell, Sofia Trantham. Kimberly Novak & husband James Novak and grandchildren: Hannah Novak, Luke Novak and Samuel Novak. He is also survived by a younger brother Samuel Dobyanski & wife Shannon. He has many cousins, extended family and friends.
Visitation with the family we be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Waltrip Funeral Directors, 1415 Campbell Rd, Houston, TX 77055. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 14, 2025, at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 6921 Chetwood Drive, Houston, TX 77081, Rev. Binh Quach, celebrant. The Rite of Committal will follow in Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079 with Deacon Brock Makin, officiating.
