James Earl Moore Sr.

On December 24, 1947 in Galveston, Texas, God graced the world with a precious baby boy: James Earl Moore. He was born to George and Roberta Moore. He attended Lincoln High School and after integration he attended LaMarque High School where he graduated in 1966. On May 1, 1967, he joined the Houston Police Academy, class # 35. He was assigned to the Mayor's Security Detail. James retired after 36 years of service on April 1, 2003. On February 2, 2002 he married Sharon Payton. James was preceded in death by his parents George and Roberta Moore. On December 27, 2014, James was called home to be with The Lord. James leaves to cherish precious memories to his devoted wife, Sharon, five sons: a devoted son Richard Cambric (Marie), a devoted son Warren Bell (Candice), James Moore Jr. (Shonya), Ma'Chir Jackson (Michelle), Tristan Moore, two daughters: Karsha Adam (Paul), A'Shunte Cashaw (Lorenzo) , one sister: Marie Moore; three brothers: J.C. Moore, George Moore Jr.(Malou), Eugene Moore (Leatha), 13 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, In-laws Thomas and Alice Davis and Willie and Doris Payton, devoted friends Roy and Dianne Brown and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
