

On the blessed day of January 27, 1960, a beautiful baby girl was born to Barbara K. Stallworth (Owens) in Houston, Texas whom she lovingly named Jennifer Lynn Owens. Jennifer received her formal education from the local schools in the Houston Independent school district including Crispus Attucks Middle School and E.E. Worthing High School. She went on to receive an associate’s degree for Houston Community College. Jennifer met the love of her life Julian W. Jennings, and they were married on December 29, 1983. They have four beautiful children: James, Shuntell, Jennie and Tia. They have lived in southwest Houston Texas for the last 25+ years and have six grandchildren, Ryan, Syah, Streetie, Kason, Myles and Jadasyn. She was a hardworking mother and wife. Jennifer, along with her husband made sure that there was always food to eat, shelter and clothing for her family. She was employed at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center for 28 years where she accumulated a host of lifelong friends. Jennifer enjoyed being around her family and trail riding because she was a true cowgirl at heart. She was extremely proud of the successes of her children and would always speak so highly of them to others. Jennifer was preceded in death by her mother Barbara K. Stallworth (Owens) and her brother Warren C. Owens. She leaves behind Julian, her husband of 34 years, children; James (Andrea), Shuntell (LaChaderick), Jennie (Matthew) and Tia; grandchildren: Ryan, Syah, Streetie Jr., Kason, Myles and Jadasyn; siblings: Kenneth Owens (Berlinda), Jewel White, Donald Owens, Michael Owens, and Edith Michelle Ryan and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
