During his time here with us, he attended W. O. Boston High School. He served in the United States Army from November 18, 1969 to March 26, 1974, stationed in Oakland, CA. During the time of his enlistment, he served in the Vietnam War from January 1969 to December 1969. He recieved 3 medals from the United States government; National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Vietnam Campaign Medal. After serving in the military, he worked for the City of Lake Charles Animal Control in Louisiana. Jerry moved to Houston, TX in 1983. There he worked for the City of Houston until 1992. He enjoyed working in the yard, taking care of his dogs and watching sports. Jerry was full of life and will be missed dearly.
