It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, who left this world peacefully May 26, 2025 at the age of 84. Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit, wisdom, and unwavering love will remain with us forever.
Jesse was more than just a father — he was our rock, our guide, and our greatest supporter. His kindness knew no bounds, and his quiet strength carried our family through both joyful and difficult times. He taught us the value of hard work, the importance of integrity, and the power of unconditional love.
He lived his life with integrity—doing the right thing not for recognition, but because it was the right thing. Whether it was helping a neighbor, mentoring someone, or simply being present for our family, he gave of himself selflessly and quietly. And he never asked for thanks or praise—just the satisfaction of knowing he had done his best.
A man of deep character and gentle humor, he found joy in life’s simple moments — whether it was listening to his favorite tunes in the "shed", endless dancing with Mom, cheering on his beloved Astros, or spending time at the casino. He led by example and loved without condition.
Preceded by his parents Feliciano and Lydia Garcia, Brothers, Eugenio, Selestino, Santos and Carlos Garcia, sisters - Alifonsa Samarripa and Julianna Vasquez.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, JoAnn Garcia, children Liz & Larry Saavedra , Nancy & Mike Chavez, Jesse J. & Kathy Garcia and Joanne Garcia. His Grandchildren, Larry Saavedra (Sarah), Jessica Serrano (Marvin), Alyssa Suarez, Jacob Garcia, Victoria Garcia, Lydia Torres, Dominic Torres and Jesse Dylan (JD) GarciaChavez, Also his greatest pride, his 5 Great Grandchildren, Andres and Lucas Serrano, Lawrence, Patricia and Adalynn Saavedra, all of whom carry forward his legacy of compassion, resilience, and grace.
We will miss his warm smile, his steady presence, and the way he always knew just what to say. Though our hearts ache with his absence, we are forever grateful for the gift of his life and the love he gave so freely.
Rest in peace, Dad. You were an incredible man, deeply loved, and you will be missed beyond measure.
