

Jesus was born to Sabas Farias and Clemencia P. Farias on November 7, 1934, in San Isidro, Texas. He graduated from San Isidro High School in 1954. He married Elena R. Farias in 1965, and they lived together in Houston, Texas. Together they raised 6 children and a Goddaughter.
He is survived by Maria Guerra, twin sister, Children Patricia Jones [Milton], Jesus Farias Jr., Sabas Farias, Anna Jimenez [Dino], Jose Farias, Luis Farias, and Veronica Vital [Rogelio]. Also left to cherish his memory are his grandchildren Vanessa Rodriguez [Miguel], Marco Pena JR. Jesus Farias III, [Esther], Brendan Farias, Brooke Rayburn [Chris], Dino Jimenez [Lauren] Annalisa Jimenez [Anthony], Karmen Vital, Rogelio Vital Jr [Roger], Kaydelen Vital and 8 great-grandchildren Marco Pena III, Gabriella Pena, Olivia Pena, Miguel Rodriguez Jr., Ethan Rodriguez. Evan Rodriguez, Jehoshaphat Farias, Blaire Rayburn. Numerous nieces/nephews that he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by Elena R. Farias, wife Sabas and Clemencia P. Farias, parents, Abel Farias, brother.
Jesus worked as a professional operator for T.E. Mercer, Mercury Transportation, and Patriot Logistics for 55 years. Where he drove his trucks, Diamond Rio and Ruby Red, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, dancing, playing his accordion, and spending time on his ranch in his hometown of San Isidro, Texas, but most of all, enjoyed spending time with family and loved ones. When he was home on the weekends, his children looked forward to Dad's special pancakes, and he was also known for baking his famous Christmas cookies, Pan De Polo. He was also actively involved in the Sheldon FFA Booster Club, Northshore Bowling League, St. Philip of Jesus Catholic Church.
Visitation will be held at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023, US, on April 27, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with the Rosary at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023, US, on April 27, 2026, from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
A Funeral Mass will take place at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church and Parish Office, 2405 Navigation Blvd, Houston, TX 77003, US, on April 28, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Committal Service at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023, US, on April 28, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 12:45 pm.
