Jo Ann “Jomama” Sullivan, 87 of Houston, Texas passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on April 14, 2022. She was lovingly called Jomama by her husband and children and Mimi by her grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter.
Jo Ann was born on June 25, 1934 and was the oldest of 4 children. She enjoyed shopping and traveling. Las Vegas was her favorite place to visit. She was a very compassionate and caring person and loved her family unconditionally.
Jo Ann is survived by her husband of 40 years William “Bill” Sullivan, Daughters: Laurie Pogue & husband Ted, Sandi Baez & husband George, Christi Smith & husband Spencer, Son: Greg Etie, Grandchildren: Anthony Baez, Bryan Baez, Peyton Smith, William Landry Smith, Skylar Jo Smith & Sullivan Grace Smith, and her poodle Missy, Sister: Sharon Schadt & husband Freddy and many nieces and nephews.

Her parents Mary Nell & Richard Ballew, brother Tommy Ballew & sister Jeanine Coffman

A visitation for Jo Ann will be held Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A funeral service will occur Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A committal service will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Greg Etie, Anthony Baez, Bryan Baez, Landry Smith, Tab Schadt & Taylor Schadt.
