

On Thursday, August 14, 1930 in Stamps, Arkansas, God blessed Chester and Lessie Bradford with a boy child they named Joe Douglas Bradford. Joe {JD} as he was called by many of his friends, was the first of three children.
Joe is proceeded in death by his father, mother, sister [Gladys] and brother [James Timothy, JT].
Joe's work history included working on the railroad many years and later to retire from working tin the steel business. Joe enjoyed sports, particularly baseball. Joe said he accepted God at the age of 20 under Rev. Malone in 3rd Ward. Joe loved being saved and really loved the Lord. He participated in each church he joined, doing anything he could, especially evangelizing in the street and being active in the prison ministry. Joe leaves to cherish his homegoing, loving wife, Mary of 35 years, his daughter, Malinda and stepchildren Dwayne, Danielle, Eunice, Andrea, and Ersula, granddaughter Jasmine, cousin Odell, nieces Faye and Pat, and nephew Joey and a host of dear friends.
A visitation for Joe will be held Monday, February 14, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060. A funeral service will occur Monday, February 14, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM with Pastor Kenneth Campbell officiating, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060. A committal service will occur Monday, February 14, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060.
