Joe A. Flores Jr.

Joe was a graduate of Jeff Davis High School in Houston, Tx. He served honorably in the United States Marine Corp.

Joe met and married, Aurora Ramos Flores, married on September 22, 1962. They resided in Houston, TX where they raised their two children.

Joe is survived by his loving family: wife, Aurora R. Flores of 60 years, son, Joseph Kevin Flores and daughter, Jacqueline Kristine Flores Duffy (Horace Duffy Jr.). Grandchildren: Joseph Kevin Flores Jr., Ernest Duffy II, Xavier John Duffy.

Brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws: Elma Flores, Caroline Ramos, Lily Ramos, Reyes Ramos (Martha), Richard Ramos, Rachel Lucio (Andrew), Mary Ramos, with numerous nieces, nephews and friends that loved him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Joe Flores, Herlinda Avila; brother and sister-in-laws, Richard Flores (Mary), Roy Flores (Alice), Alex Flores, Lawrence Ramos, Esperanza Ramirez, Olivia Ramos, Henry Ramos, Julie Ramos, and Gilbert Ramos.

Joe enjoyed spending time with his family, watching all Houston sport teams play ball and working in his yard. He was proud to be a United States Marine and lived up to the motto, “Semper Fidelis,”
