Joe Ruiz Saenz, 79, passed away on July 6, 2014 in Houston, TX. He was born in Glen Florias, TX to Rumaldo and Mary Saenz who preceded him in death. Left behind to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 54 years Esther Saenz, daughter Diane Saenz, Son Joe A. Saenz, Sisters Stella Price, Frances Hampton, Susan Hughes, brothers Gabino Garcia, Tom Saenz, Luis Saenz, Rumaldo Saenz Jr., Ruben Saenz, Pete Saenz, grandchildren Joe V. Lozano Jr., Jason Saenz, Jennifer Saenz, Jacob Saenz, Jessica Saenz, Jolie Saenz, and great grandchildren Joshua Lozano and Jay Lynn Lozano. Joe was an athlete at Pearland High school and excelled in track/field, football, and basketball. He Served in the U.S. Army after high school and later worked as a supervisor for City of Houston Water Department. A visitation will be at Forest Park Lawndale on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 and Thursday, July 10, 2014 from 5-9 PM with a rosary service taking place at 7:30 PM on Thursday evening. A funeral mass will take place on Friday, July 11, 2014 at 10:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church located at 7250 Harrisburg in Houston.
