John T. Hilton passed away on March 20, 2016 in Houston, Texas, at the age of 67. John was born in Kansas City, Missouri on November 14, 1948. He was preceded in death by his parents Ruth Horne and John Tankerson Hilton. He graduated from Beaumont High School and the University of Missouri-St. Louis in St. Louis, Missouri.
He played tennis, enjoyed jazz music and travelled the world.
John is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Margaret Hollins Hilton; daughter Kelly Ann Hilton-Fortson, husband Eric, and the light of his life, granddaughter, Nia M. Fortson; sisters, Joyce, Wanda and Jacquelin Hilton and brother, Jeffery Hilton; nieces and nephews; numerous relatives and friends.
A celebration of John's life will be Saturday, March 26, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Heights Funeral Home, 1317 Heights Blvd, Houston, Texas 77008. In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association or the charity of your choice.
