John Patrick McCauley

Patrick McCauley, 61, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at his home in Humble, Texas. Patrick was born at Hermann Hospital in Houston,TX, on June 01,1964, and is the son of the late Paul E. McCauley and Diane McCauley. He is survived by his wife, Linda D. McCauley, his beloved dogs, and his two Aunts, Aunt Ida and Aunt Pat.

Patrick was retired from the Harris County Sheriiff’s Department, and had a career as a Harris County Deputy for 26 years. After retiring, the sports channel became his favorite go to on weekends. He loved cooking for his family, and frequented the latest and greatest grocery shopping venues, with his favorite being, HEB. He was always willing to share a good recipe with mom, and was keen on knowing which store had the lowest food prices that week. Patrick loved animals and was a monthly contributor to the S.P.C.A..

Patrick was baptized into the Catholic church as a child. He attended grade school in catholic schools located in north Houston, and graduated from St. Pius X High School in 1982.

Throughout his life Patrick’s favorite time of year was the Christmas season. He always felt happy and excited with the twinkling lights on the Christmas tree, and the scent of Christmas in the air. He thoroughly enjoyed this time of year because it brought family together, which is something that was close to his heart. He will be remembered and celebrated as a loving husband, son, and brother.

Patrick’s surviving siblings include his brothers: Michael McCauley (Amy), and Paul Ted McCauley. His surviving sister is Samantha Simon (Ryan).

Patrick is also survived by four step-children, several step grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life is to be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 2:00pm, for friends and family in Cleveland, Texas.
