John “J.B.” Samperi Jr., 66, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2013. J.B. was born on Feb. 22, 1947 in Houston. He graduated from Bellaire High School and soon after started his career at Sakowitz where he worked his way up to General Manager of the Galleria store. When the store closed in the late 80’s he went to work for Complete Staffing where he retired from last year.
J.B. is preceded in death by his father John B. “Bat” Samperi and his sisters Rose Ann Adamo and Tena Lawrence. He is survived by his mother, Annie Mae Samperi; sister Therese Samperi and brother-in-law Michael C. Adamo III. His nieces and nephews: Anna Marie Adamo, Michael IV (Gina) Adamo, Johnny B. (Cindy) Adamo, Paul (Susan) Lawrence, John (Jill) Lawrence, Tony Lawrence, Rose (Ellis) Sink, Kim (Eddie) Hamner and 20 “great” nieces and nephews.
The family held a private prayer and memorial service led by Rev. Charles Samperi earlier in the week. His nephews listed above served as pallbearers.
