José spent 50 plus years working in the Petro-chemical industry throughout the Houston Ship Channel and Texas. He specialized in designing and making gaskets, seals, and packing for all types of fixed and rotating equipment.
José Riojas was a great man and for those who knew him I wouldn't have to explain it. He was always willing to help his family, neighbor, or a stranger in need. He would take all of the neighborhood kids fishing and hunting to keep them off of the streets. This passion to keep kids off of the streets lead to a lifetime of taxidermy to help family and friends remember their experiences with Pop and the outdoors.
Pops was a family man and always made it a point to be present at family and friends special and life events; whether it was a birthday, school, or sporting event. To say he was a great man is an understatement; he is what made the world a better place. He will be missed by many and will always be loved.
