Josefa Chavez 92 passed away, Saturday September 22, 2012. She is survived by her children Elvira Lopez, Alfredo “Fred” Chavez, Connie Boon and husband Clayton, and Roy Chavez, 17 grandchildren, numerous great and great great grandchildren, sister Sabina Avila, brother Ramundo Avila, and numerous other living relatives. She was proceeded in death by her husband Guadalupe ”Lupe” Chavez, her brothers Frank Avila, Leocadio Manzano and granddaughter Cynthia A Chavez. Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00pm where a rosary will be recited at 7pm Thursday September 27, 2012 at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Ave Houston, TX 77023. Funeral services will be held Friday September 28, 2012 at 11am at Forest Park Lawndale. Pallbearers will be the grandsons. The Chavez Family would like to give special thanks and appreciation to the nurses and physicians at Houston Hospice.
