

She was born on October 15, 1928, in Hebbronville, Texas to Enrique and Carmen Mesa Navejar. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, sister-in-law and aunt. Since she never learned to drive, any time a family member was sick and needed help, she would not hesitate to jump on the bus to go care for them. She loved her family. She also loved cooking and baking. Every Christmas Eve she and her daughters would make a lot of tamales. She made the best tamales and pan de polvo.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Pedro G. Saenz, grandson Jonathan Saenz, brother Enrique Navejar Jr., sister Alicia Hernandez, four sons-in-law; David Narvaez, Ibar Garcia, Alejandro Moreno & Felipe Sanchez and her sisters-in-law; Lucia Salinas, Diamantina Perez, Inez Garcia & Gloria Carrillo, and brothers-in-law; Libardo Saenz & Antonio Saenz.
Left to cherish her memory are her seven daughters; Maria (William Gorham) Narvaez, Gloria Garcia, Adriana Moreno, Edna (Celso) Silerio, Irma (Felix) Gonzalez, Araceli Molina, & Eloisa Sanchez, one son Pedro E. Saenz, all of Houston, Texas. One sister Grace (Ray) Gonzalez of Hebbronville, Texas and one brother-in-law Humberto (Glenda) Saenz of Houston, Texas. Twenty-two grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, nine great-great grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.
The family would like to especially thank the nurses, CNAs and CMAs at Bridgecrest Rehabilitation Suites for providing outstanding daily care for our mother.
She loved her family so very much and they love her just the same. She will be very deeply missed.
A private (only ten members of the family) visitation/rosary will be held at Forest Park Lawndale on Wednesday, April 8, 2020, at 11 a.m. a graveside service will follow at 12 p.m.
Due to the pandemic, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
