Joe was born to Joseph and Agnes Schiro September 26, 1938 in Houston, TX. He grew up in the East End of Houston. He graduated from St.Thomas High School in 1956 and went on to attend the University of Houston for 3 years. Joe also attended Blessed Sacrament Catholic School.
After the University of Houston Joe spent a number of years in customer service for Electronic Components. Joe was a member of Sacred Heart Society of Little York and 20 Club. He also loved his Astros, bowling and gambling.
Joe was preceded in death by his father and mother, Joseph and Agnes Schiro; father in law and mother in law, Ben and Sadie Tinerella; brothers in law Benny Tinerella and Barney Guilliams.
Joe is survived by his wife of 64 years Rose Marie Schiro; son Joseph Anthony Schiro III (May Basso); daughter Roxanne Smith (Curt); grand children Eric Schiro (Brittany), Alyson Schiro and Gabrielle Smith. Great grandchildren Cora, Hadley and Bowen Schiro. Sisters Charlene Guilliams and Marilyn Hardee (Nat). Sisters-in-law Annette Tinerella and Sherry Tinerella Austin. He leaves numerous nieces and nephews.
