As the beauty of a flower can be so breath taking and delicate as it blooms it's beauty and it's sweet fragrance only last but a little while. So the delicate bloom of life shall pass too. The sweet fragrance of the bloom will fade with time but the roots of this beautiful flower go deep in the ground of our lives and will bloom many generations of fragrant , breath taking flowers. Mother shall live on in us and our. Children.  Her love of God will shine forth and her light now shines down from heaven on our preciouse blooms . May our roots run as deep and be as prosperous as hers. Rest now until we meet again in the peace and arms of God. I love u mom. ..Lori 

My sweet Mimi - you are the most gracious, kind, and forgiving woman I have ever had the blessing of knowing. You will always be remembered for your favorite hymns that you always hummed or sang to yourself. The way you loved the Lord and your family was a fierceness I have never seen. You loved all of us grand babies so much and your children were the apple of your eye. I will always remember your laugh and your smile. You will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew you. Give papaw a hug for me and watch over us. I love you so much.

Miss joy and Mr Clyde were out nextdoor neighbors on Riverwood.  Miss joy was moms best friend. I still remember them outside hanging laundry and miss joy always quoting a bible verse to match any topic of discussion. She was a beautiful lady, inside and out. May she rest in peace in the arms of God.

I have so many fond memories of Aunt Joy.   I can still hear her and mom sitting around laughing and talking.   Aunt Joy's laugh was infectious and that smile is unforgettable.   I remember,  being a little girl and going to their house to visit and we had to take our shoes off at the door to keep the floors clean.   Donna took everyone's shoes and put them in the closet.  I had never see that at anyone's house.   Aunt Joy's  house was always spotless.  I assure you that  you could eat off her floors.   The world was a little brighter for all who knew her.    Loved this lady.   May she rest high on that mountain.   

My momma. The rock and the foundation of our family. She loved her family with all her heart. She loved her God with all her soul. She loved life with every breath. She tought us to be responsible members of society and she instilled in us values and Godly morals .  She kept us close to God and she provided us with the best she had to give in every aspect of our home.  She was an awesome mother and friend, a wonderful wife, and a faithful Christian.  She taught Sunday school , she sang to the glory of God in the choir, and she was a friend to everyone she met. Precious and pristine in everyway . She honored us by being our mother.  I can only hope to live my life and be an inspiration to my children as she did. A life not wasted but spent giving, loving, helping and praying. GOD blessed her but I think we were the ones TRUELY blessed for knowing her and her love. 

I remember when we all went to Berean Baptist Church on West Rd and 45. I had such a crush on Barry . Joy and my mother thought it was funny. Barry wouldn't give me the time of day.. memories well cherished.....my you R.I.P. Mrs. Stanley

My sincere condolences to the family.  She was the best mother in law that anyone could ask for.  She was so down to earth and very welcoming when you came to visit.  I will always remember, with great fondness, the family dinners and holidays spent at the home of Joy and Clyde.  Her laughter is an echo that still rings in my head, as her laugh was infectious when she would get tickled about something.  I know that she is happy that she is finally in the kingdom of Heaven with our Lord.  She is finally reunited with her loved ones that have gone before her.

My sweet momma , the very essences of Godly love and mercy.  She was a wonderful mother, wife, homemaker and faithful Christian.  She loved her mother and she loved her children and grandchildren with all of her heart. She stood firm in the Lord and taught us his word and instilled in each of us to be all we could be  in life and to work hard to be responsible members of society, loving parents to our children, and to trust in the Lord with all we had.  I will cherish her and the memories we made as a family .  I will miss her here on earth and I will honor her with my life to live it as she taught us too.  She is now singing those beautiful melodies in heaven  she loved to sing and to praise God with her voice even in her last days while the words had left her she continued to sing and hum those wonderful melodies that comforted her through out her life . I remember seeing her at the table reading her Bible at night after we had gone to bed and praying to God, that sight has stayed with me through out my life , to be as she was and love the Lord as she did is to TRUELY know peace and comfort in life's struggles. I will miss her here but look forward to the day I am reunited with her and my father in the presence of our maker.  Love u momma. 

My greatest memory of mom was seeing her sitting at the end of our dining room table with a cup of coffee and God's Word.  She loved the Lord and sang His praises every day of her life.  If not with the words, she hummed the tunes that became so familiar to my heart. Because of her,  four children had a loving home and knew who Jesus was.  Those of you who know her,  remember that beautiful smile. That smile came from God's grace and mercy in her life even though there were struggles.  She will forever be loved.  And we have this glorious Hope, that to be absent from this life is to be in the presence of our Lord and Savior.   donna

One of my earliest memories as a very young boy was having your mother as my Sunday School teacher.  Joy was a wonderful friend to our family through the years and will always live in our hearts with the fondest of memories.  It is comforting to know she is now spending  eternity with the Lord Jesus Christ.
