It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Juan Angel Hinojosa on Monday, May 19, 2025, at the age of 56. Born in Monterrey, MX to Domingo Angel Hinojosa and Maria Alicia Hinojosa Lopez.
Known for his quick wit and kind heart, Juan had a gift for making everyone feel welcome and at ease. Juan was the type of person that could always make you laugh, and the first to offer a helping hand or a listening ear. His empathy and genuine care for others left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
Juan’s life was a tapestry woven with love, dedication, and a profound appreciation for the simple joys, most notably his love for sports, food, and traveling which he shared generously with family and friends.
Juan grew up with a love for sports as the oldest of five boys. He played soccer throughout his younger years, but his love for baseball was more passionate as he continued playing into adulthood. He often recorded the Astros’ games and watched them when he had the chance. When he wasn’t watching the Astros, he enjoyed different shows on the food network.
His passion for food developed from growing up with a mother that spent a lot of time in the kitchen. He dedicated many years of his life to the food industry, working in countless restaurants where his passion for good food and great service shone through. His love for food was matched only by his love for traveling.
Juan enjoyed traveling with family in pursuit of new adventures which left lasting memories — he never passed up an opportunity to explore new places.
His greatest joy was spending time with his family. His kindness will always be remembered.
He is preceded in death by his father, Domingo Angel Hinojosa, and his younger brother, Raul Hinojosa.
He is survived by his wife Rosaura Hinojosa, his daughters, Gabriela Hinojosa and Miranda Hinojosa; his mother, Maria Alicia Hinojosa, his brothers Victor, Jesus, and David; his sisters-in-law, Sandra, and Melissa; and many loving nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
