Judith was born on March 28, 1952, to parents Betty Toups-Squyres and Louis Squyres, younger sister to her devoted brother Lou. After graduating Waltrip Sr. High School in 1970, she went on to study Nursing at University of Texas School of Nursing-Houston. Judith spent her full career working as an RN and then a case manager at the Woman’s Hospital of Texas until she retired in 2018. Judith also shared her skills as a camp nurse for the Tallowood Baptist Church summer bible camp for more than 20 years, something she loved dearly and looked forward to each year.
Judith spent many years snapping photos of friends and loved ones and created dozens and dozens of memory scrapbooks that she gifted abundantly to friends and family to commemorate special occasions and honor loved ones. She loved to travel and one of her favorite trips was taking her mother to Hawaii. Judith was always generous with her time, talents, energy, and love for others. A devoted follower of Christ, Judith also taught Sunday School for the eighth grade and later the penguins at Talloweed for many years.
Judith has been reunited in death with her mother Betty, father Louis, and brother Lou, who she missed dearly. Judith is survived by her sister-in-law Merilyn Hammond (Wayne); niece Marie Squyres; nephew Lafe Meade; great nieces Victoria Wiginton (Christopher), Sarah Meade, Lindsay Meade, and Ashlee Meade; great-great nieces Presley and Parker Wiginton; and great-great nephew Riggs Wiginton.
Services will be held at Tallowood Baptist Church on Friday, May 2nd, with visitation starting at 5:00pm and funeral services at 6:00pm.
