

Ken graduated from Williamsburg High School in Kansas and received his Associates Degree from Fort Scott Jr. College in Fort Scott, Kansas. He joined the United States Army in December 1940, served in Europe and received his Honorable Discharge in October 1945.
While attending school in Memphis, Tennessee in June 1949, Ken met the love of his life, Cecilia Butler and they were married on Saturday, August 27, 1949.
He retired in 1982 after 43 years of service with the Ferderal Government.
Ken is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Cecilia; son Fred O'Bannion and wife Carolyn; daughter, Betty O’Bannion and husband Chet Tolbert; grandsons, Leo O'Bannion and wife Di, Christopher O'Bannion and wife Erika; brother, Ross O'Bannion and wife Joan; many other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Tuesday, March 30th at Waltrip Funeral Directors, where funeral services will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, March 31st at 10:30am with Rev. David Porterfield and Dr. J.P. Price officiating.
Interment will follow at Fairbanks Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
