Larry Lamar Lawson, 69, of Houston, Texas, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2020. He was a devout catholic and former employee with The Light House of Houston, and the City of Houston and graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas.
After graduation he was employed with the City of Houston where he worked for 30 years.
He loved Ham Radio and was a member of the Oak Forest Amateur Radio Club. He was licensed since 1995 with an Advanced Class license and then earning his Extra, no small achievement since Larry was blind from birth.
He was preceded in death by his wife Patsy Lawson, parents Al and Lanell Lawson, and brother Donald Lawson Sr. He is survived by his nephew Donald Lawson Jr, niece Heather Lawson, sister-in-law Vicki Lawson, girlfriend Diane Puffer, and great-nephew’s Cooper Lawson and Austin Warncke. He will receive his final resting place on April 14th, 2020 at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home in Houston, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to The Lighthouse of Houston.
