Lewis Carlton Sterns

Lewis Carlton Sterns of Houston, Texas, passed away on February 7th, 2025, at the age of 90. He was born on December 1st, 1934, in Houston, Texas, and grew up on his family's dairy farm in Humble, Texas.

A proud graduate of Jefferson Davis High School, class of 1952, Lewis spent his professional life as a member of the Clerks and Checkers Union ILA #1351. He was known for his strong work ethic and dedication.

Outside of his career, Lewis was deeply involved in family activities, with a passion for shrimping, fishing, and hunting.

Lewis was preceded in death by his mother, Louise Sterns; father, Luke Sterns; wife, Florine Maryanne Sterns; daughters Julie Thompson and Carol Domina/Bruna; and grandson Jacob Sterns.

He is survived by their Three Sons: Richard Charlton Sterns, Darrell Wayne Sterns, Jeffrey Neal Sterns. Son In-law Edward Brady Thompson, Daughter In-law Tammy Annice Sterns and Cindy Sterns.

Twelve Grand Children: Grand Son Jason Thompson, Grand Daughter Crystal and Husband Bobbie Gaddie, Robert Domina, Christpher and Wife Stephanie Domina, Grand Daughter Sara Sterns, Grand Daughter Kristin and Husband Zach Simpson, Grand Daughter Terri Gene and Husband David Moriarty, Grand Daughter Robin and Husband Richard Vasquez.

Eight Great Grand Children: Great Grand Daughters Leah and Ryah Vasquez, Great Grandsons Robbie and Grayson Thompson, Great Grandson Bentley Haithcox, Great Grand Daughter Meira Simpson, Great Grandson Reegan Simpson, and Great Grandson Ledger Domina.

A very special Thank You to My Daughter and LVN Nurse Mrs. Robin Vasquez and husband Mr. Richard Vasquez and Daughters Leah and Ryah, for opening their home for Lewis’s care in his final year. And care for my mother Florine Sterns. Also, to Mr. Aiden Bullard and Mr. Liam Guinn for their care and compassion, they all showed their love and care for our loved one in their final days.
