

Born in 1925 in New Boston, Texas, Lillie was one of ten children to Everett Giles and Myrtle (White) Giles. She married Willie Paul Westbrook on March 15th, 1947. They started a family in Texarkana and welcomed their first child in 1948. The family moved to Longview for a few years before settling in Pasadena for twenty-five years. She spent the last of her days in Livingston, where she was a resident for twenty-five years.
Lillie was a dedicated homemaker and devout Baptist. She spent her life serving her family, her community, and above all, God. She believed in love, and spent every day of her life loving those around her through her tireless care for them. She will be dearly missed by her family and those who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Willie Paul Westbrook, by her son, Bruce Earl Westbrook, and eight siblings. She is survived by her sister, Marie (Giles) Bolt, of Oklahoma City, and her four children, Jerry Wayne Westbrook, Brenda Diane (Westbrook) Sumrall, Debra Jean "Debbie" (Westbrook) Bays, and Tina (Westbrook) Sullivan; grand-children Vincent Sumrall, Nicole Sumrall, Larry "Shorty" Currey, Misty (Henderson) Winslett, Sean Mills, and Jennifer Mills; great-grandchildren Jamie Harris, Christopher Winslett, Hastidy Winslet, Cameron Currey, Alisabeth Currey, Lucky Lee Currey, as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Services will be at Forest Park Lawndale, located at 6900 Lawndale St, Houston, Texas, 77052, on Saturday, September 7th, 2019. Private family visitation will be held from 9 - 10 a.m., followed by public visitation at 10 - 12 p.m., noon. The service will start at noon and be officiated by Mike Carlen. After the service, all are welcome to the burial service at Peebles Cemetery in Goodrich, Texas, at 3 p.m., where she will be laid to rest next to her husband, Willie Paul. Thanks, Nicole Sumrall
