

Surrounded by family and unconditional love Lincoln U. Garcia, 90 years old, left this Earth to be with our Eternal Father on March 3, 2016. He was born on February 12, 1926 in Bessmay, TX. He proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Corporal with Troop “B” 87th Cavalry Squadron during World War II. He is twice retired from Charter Oil and Wal-Mart.
He is preceded by his mother, Maria Ureata Garcia and his father, Luis Garcia. Along with his siblings, Amelia Garcia, Luis Garcia Jr., Dolores Martinez, Guadalupe Garcia, Christine Carrion, Antonio Garcia, and lastly by his eldest son, Robert Lincoln Garcia.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Irene Diaz Garcia. Their children, Rosie Garcia – spouse of Robert L. Garcia, Glenda Kennon and her spouse Jerry, Celinda Guerra and her spouse Luis , Elizabeth Dixon and her fiancée Melvin Ray and Mario Garcia and his spouse Cathy. He was grandfather to Robert Zolan and his spouse Yvonne, Nora Jackson and her spouse Paul, Larry A. Rivera and his girlfriend Mary Knoll, Tracy Garcia, Yvette Watson and her spouse Cory, Luis A. Guerra Jr. and his spouse Michelle, Richard M. Cantu Jr., Joshua A. Dixon, and Eva Garcia. He was great grandfather to Alicia B. Zolan, Alexis D. Zolan, Leanna Garcia, Sara Jackson, Nicole Jackson, Adelynn Watson and Cameron Watson. He is survived by his siblings, Conception Saucedo, Josephine Velasquez and Geraldine Brown.
As a devout family man and diligent worker, he has left an undying legacy. He will be forever cherished in our hearts.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 6, 2016 from 5:00-9:00pm with a Rosary at 7:00pm at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Avenue, Houston, TX 77023.
The funeral mass will be held on Monday, March 7, 2016 at 1:30pm at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 7250 Harrisburg Blvd, Houston, TX 77011.
Burial to follow Mass on Monday, March 7, 2016 at 3:00pm at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale Avenue, Houston, TX 77023.
