Diane spent a good part of her childhood in Colorado Springs, and after becoming an orphan, she lived with family in Key West and Norfolk—experiences that helped shape her strength, resilience, and deep appreciation for family. She later moved to Houston, where she remained for the rest of her life.
She was a truly wonderful mother, sister, and a loving grandmother—someone who always put family first and made everyone around her feel deeply cared for and valued.
She never met a stranger and always had stories to tell, drawing people in with her warmth and making them feel like lifelong friends. Her presence could light up any room, and her laughter and kindness will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Through her years of employment with Aldine ISD, she found true joy in working with people—especially children. She had a natural gift for connecting with others and took great pride in making a positive difference; leaving a lasting impact on countless students and families.
For decades, she was a devoted volunteer and cherished member of her community. She served as a leader in scouting and youth sports. No matter where help was needed, she was always there—offering her time, her heart, and her unwavering support.
She had a deep love for music, and found joy in crafting, quilting, and making special memories with friends and loved ones. These passions reflected her creativity and her gift for bringing people together.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Boyce and Mary Helen Boyce, and her brothers, Ricky Pease, Roger Pease, and Gilbert Pease.
She leaves behind her loving children, Karen Renee Moreno and Jason Wayne Arnold; her cherished twin grandchildren, Abigail Moreno and Tristan Moreno; her brothers, Michael Pease, Don Pease, and Lyle Pease. She was a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly. She also leaves behind other family members including her former husband John Arnold, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
Her compassion, generosity, and ability to bring smiles to those around her touched more lives than we can count. While our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that her legacy of love will live on in each of us. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
