

?Linda Joyce Doyle, 68, was born on December 4, 1948 to James Doyle, Sr and Hilda Doyle in DeQuincy, Louisiana. Although unexpected, she departed this life peacefully on November 21, 2017 in Anauac, Texas. Linda was a godly woman. At a early age she was baptized in her hometown at Evergreen Baptist Church. Later in life she relocated to Houston, TX where she joined (Glenda’s church). Eventually she relocated again and became a member of Mt. Hebron Missionary Baptist Church in Garland, TX while residing with her daughter Kimberly. Linda received her GED from Job Corp and later began her career as a clerk for the railroad. After years of hard work and dedication, she became one of the first African American women locomotive engineers for Missouri Pacific (known as Union Pacific today) during her tenure from 1971-1984. After her monumental exploration at Missouri Pacific Linda held a position at Boeing Air Craft. Explosive, life of the party, confident, fearless, and adventurous just to name a few of the broad range of words that describe Linda Doyle. She was a jack of all trades with a immense variety of hobbies varying from bingo to fishing. Linda was an outstanding cook and handy woman who loved her family. She believed in living everyday as if to be her last; with no regrets and putting it all on the table. Linda was no stranger to speaking her mind the feature we all admired about her. Linda was the mother of two beautiful daughters, Kimberly and Yolanda. Each of whom she loved tremendously. She was known as “Big Mama” to her grandchildren and many others. She was preceded in death by both her parents James Doyle, Sr and Hilda Doyle. She leaves to cherish her loving memory: daughters Kimberly Wilkinson (Jeremiah) of Rowlett, TX, Yolanda Doyle of Houston, TX, ; grandchildren Lanika Doyle, Reginald Doyle, Hope Lindsey, Leonard Doyle, and Ramona Jordan; great grandchildren Anaiyah, Reghan, Caleb, Darian, Brison, Ja’zai, Ja’vari, Leonard Jr, London, and Camryn. She also leaves to cherish her memories: two brothers James Doyle Jr. (Glenda) of Houston,TX and Walter Snell (Sherry Ann) of DeQuincy, LA; two sisters, Laverne Richardson of Houston, TX and Debra Davis (Claude) of DeQuincy, LA, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
