Lorenzo was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 69 years, Rosie Torres; his daughter, Ruth Ann Ramos and his son-in-law, Manuel Ramos.
After graduating from high school, Lorenzo proudly served in the United States Navy. During this time, he met the love of his life, Rosie, and together they built a home and raised their family in the Heights neighborhood of Houston, Texas.
A man of strong faith, Lorenzo was a member and devoted servant of several ministries at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He will be remembered not only for his dedication to God and family but also for the simple joys he loved most in life: cheering on the Houston Astros (though he never let go of his Yankees loyalty), reading the Houston Chronicle, working crossword puzzles, sitting on his porch, and watching his favorite westerns.
He is survived by his son, Anthony Torres, and daughter-in-law, Nina Torres; grandchildren Jason Torres (Patricia), Roman Cisneros (Jennifer), Jeremy Torres (Vanessa), Stephanie Torres, and Justin Torres (Miranda); and great-grandchildren Jason Torres Jr., Joshua Torres, Vivian Torres, Jacob Torres, and John Torres.
Lorenzo will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. His quiet strength, wisdom, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him
