Louella was born October 15, 1912 in Palestine, Texas, to Fannie Lou and Robert Andrew Hughes. Shortly after her birth her parents and seven siblings moved to Pasadena. Louella wed Louie C. Wiess and together had four children, 12 grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren. Louella and Louie shared over 54 yrs. of marriage at their ranch in Caldwell County, Galveston beach house and their home in Houston. Louella loved to sew and cook. She attributed her long life and health to her love of family.
Louella is preceded in death and rejoins her beloved husband Louie C. Wiess. She leaves behind one sister, Marcella Hughes Harris; children and their spouses: Ella Jean Wiess Cole Reed & David Reed, Louie E. Wiess & Jacquelyn Wiess, Robert G. Wiess & Sharon Wiess, Marilyn Wiess Burt Douglas & Gary Douglas; grandchildren, Lori Cole Howard, Don Cole Jr, Michael Reed, Heidi Wiess, Louie E. Wiess Jr., Kara Wiess Horner, Chandra Wiess Conway, Candy Douglas, Jason Douglas, Shawn Burt, Dustine Douglas Downing & Andy Burt; Serving as pallbearers: Don Cole Jr, Jason Douglas, Shawn Burt, Michael Reed, Andy Burt, Louie Wiess Jr.
