Louise E. Newkirk

Louise was born to Jose A. Espinosa and Guadalupe Tamez, November 27, 1922

in Houston, TX. She graduated from Milby High School in 1939. She married

Coy Dale Bullard Sr. in 1945 in San Diego, CA. They had 2 children together.

After his death in 1959 she remarried Melvin Walter Newkirk in 1966.

Louise is survived by her son, Coy Dale Bullard Jr. and daughter & son-in-law,

Marla Michelle Bullard and William Dwaine Morgan. She is also leaves nieces

Denise, Debbie, Sylvia and Diane and nephews Robert, Richard, Charles and Tommy.

She is preceded in death by her parents Jose and Guadalupe Espinosa, first

husband Coy Dale Bullard Sr., second husband Melvin Walter Newkirk, grandson

Coy Dale Bullard III and brothers Dan, Ben and Julian.

Louise worked as an executive secretary for Gulf Coast Community Association

for 28 years. She was an accomplished pianist/organist and artist in oil painting.

She began playing the piano in church at the age of 14 and continued well into her 90's.

She also was a member of the Houston Art Association, Pasadena Art League and

Deer Park Art League. She won numerous awards for her paintings over the years.

A graveside service for Louise will be held Thursday, June 29, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. The family requests that donations be made to the Houston Food Bank, https:/www.houstonfoodbank.org/
