Luciano was more than a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather—he was a steady hand, a faithful provider, a source of strength, laughter, wisdom, and an example of what it means to live with dignity, grit, and heart.
Luciano was born on June 20, 1950, in the small town of Rodriguez, Coahuila, Mexico, where he was raised alongside his seven brothers and sisters. From those early beginnings came the values that would define his life: hard work, loyalty, humility, resilience, and a deep devotion to family. Those who knew Luciano knew that he did not merely speak about responsibility—he lived it every day.
He later married his loving and devoted wife, Herlinda Suarez, and together they built a life marked by sacrifice, perseverance, and love. As the provider he was, Luciano made the courageous decision to continue their journey together in the United States, where he worked faithfully for 40 years as a longshoreman with I.L.A. Local 24. Through honest labor and unwavering commitment, he gave his family stability, opportunity, and an example of what it means to carry responsibility with pride. He retired at the age of 67, having more than earned the respect that came with a life of tireless work.
But Luciano was never defined by work alone. He was a man full of life. He was playful, quick with a joke, and had a way of making others laugh that brought light into the room. He had a spirit that people were drawn to—strong, warm, and genuine. He was the kind of man who would lend a hand when someone was in need, often without hesitation and without asking for anything in return. He was dependable in the ways that matter most, and his presence brought comfort to those who knew they could count on him.
After retirement, Luciano found great joy in living out the remainder of his days proud of all he had built and accomplished. He especially enjoyed spending time at his recreational ranch in Rosharon, Texas—a place that became more than land. It became a reflection of his labor, his dreams, his roots, and the legacy he leaves behind. That legacy continues not only in the space he cherished, but in the family he poured himself into and the values he passed down.
Luciano leaves behind his beloved wife, Herlinda Suarez; his children, Julio Cesar Suarez, Eduardo Suarez, Orlando Suarez, and Krystal Suarez; as well as his five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, all of whom carry forward pieces of his strength, love, and enduring spirit.
To know Luciano was to know a man who earned his rest. He lived fully, worked honestly, loved deeply, and gave much of himself to others. His life was not small, and his memory will not be either. He leaves behind more than sorrow in his passing—he leaves behind a testimony of manhood, provision, perseverance, laughter, and love.
Though he will be deeply missed, Luciano Suarez will be remembered with pride, spoken of with affection, and carried in the hearts of those who were blessed to call him family and friend. May he rest in peace, and may his legacy continue to live on in all who loved him.
