Makai Jordan Roberts

Today we gather to mourn the loss of our precious child, Makai Jordan Roberts. Even though he was only 3 years old, he was wise beyond his years. Makai came into this world wearing a smile that could light up this world. He rarely cried as a baby and we never encountered the "terrible two's" that everyone talks about. HE loved to spend time with his cousins any chance he got. One of his many talents was being able to transform from Michelangelo on in Ninja Turtles to SpongeBob Square Pants within seconds. Basically if you've spent time with Makai Jordan Roberts, you have know at least half of his characters on Nickelodeon or at some point had a conversation with the word "paw control" and Michelangelo in the same sentence. The light that was Makai was extinguished entirely too soon. He had just begun to live, so it is hard for us to comprehend why someone so young and special, should have to go. We will never know the answer to why this happened to such a precious child. We can simply be glad that we were touched by an Angel on earth. As we leave here today we will leave with sadness in our hearts for the loss of this family, this community and this world. Makai would want us to be filled with love and kindness and not with sad and heavy hearts. So let us take one thing with us and that is the desire of a child to make the world a better place. Let us take his enthusiasm and spread that love that positive attitude and his spirit with all of the people who were so unfortunate that they got to see Makai smile.
