

Mamie Mae Lewis was born on October 19, 1925 in St. Louis, Missouri to Lester and Ella Easter. Her family moved to Ozark County, Missouri where she would live until her marriage to Walton Lewis on December 27, 1943. Mom and dad bought a house in Pasadena, Texas on Hart Avenue in July of 1952 where they both lived until their passing. After a brief illness Mamie was called up on February 5, 2016 to join our dad in heaven to spend eternity with our Father. Mom was preceded in death by her mom and dad, Lester and Ella Easter, her husband Walton Lewis of 62 years in a blessed marriage, two sisters Celestia Halford and Othel Puricelli and two brothers Reed Easter and Lee Vandon Easter. She is survived by Brenda Estes, daughter and husband Victor, Deer Park, TX; Tony Lewis, son and wife Roberta, Tomball, TX; Steven Estes, grandson and wife Christie, Highland Village, TX; Dan Estes, grandson and wife Angie, Pearland, TX; Kendra Huffman granddaughter and husband Josh , San Antonio, TX; Heather Ramsey, Houston, TX; Nathan Lewis, Pasadena, TX; Rachelle Hernandez, granddaughter and husband Alfredo, Tomball, TX; Roland Mendiola, grandson and wife Pam, Houston, TX; Rob Mendiola, grandson and wife Spring, Waller, TX; 11 great grand children and 4 great great grandchildren. She was a wonderful blessing to anyone’s life she came to know and always put others before herself. She was a devoted child of our Lord and worshipped at Shaw Street, Central, Southside, and Watters Road Churches of Christ. While living in Pasadena, TX mom worked for the Pasadena School District in their cafeterias, Big Bonus (remember stamps), and Sears. She will be deeply missed for her smile, sense of humor, and compassion for all. Visitation will take place at Forest Park Lawndale on Monday, February 8 from 6PM until 8PM with the funeral being on Tuesday, February 9 at 10AM. Forest Park is located at 6900 Lawndale Ave, Houston, TX 77023.
