Marayan Mehaffie, age 72, passed away on January 31, 2015 in Houston, TX. Marayan was born on April 24, 1942 in Crestview, FL to Curtis and Voncile Williams. She was a passionate woman, who cared for her family above anything else. Always the one to be generous and helpful, Marayan impacted many people in her life. She enjoyed her time spent with loved ones, her book club, and playing bunko.
Marayan was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Audrey Wyatt. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 19 years, Don Mehaffie; daughter, Cindy Brady; step-son, Chris Mehaffie; sister, Pat James and husband Ken; grandchildren, Brittani, Jimmy, Kirsti, Zane, Zach, Quintin and Fallon; and great-grandchildren, Molly, Cooper and Zoey.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 from 5pm-8pm at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at 2pm, with interment immediately following.
