Maru was a source of love, support, and inspiration to all of us. I remember when she took me with her daughter Ale to the Houston Zoo, we had a wonderful day. I will treasure that moment always in my heart. 
Though her passing leaves a void, her legacy lives on in us.
I want to express my deepest gratitude for having had the blessing of sharing those moments with my cousin Maru.
Rest in peace, Maru.

Maria you brought warmth, kindness, and light to everyone around you.  Your beautiful spirit and caring heart will never be forgotten. Though you are no longer with us, your love lives on in our hearts…

I miss Maria immensely.  She was a part of my life almost 30 years. I cannot account for all of the memories we had but I will never forget her infectious laugh and for how selfless she was for others. She was an incredible soul and an amazing person.  God bless you Maru!

Maria always showed love and respect for her family. I admire Maria for putting her family’s wellbeing above everything else. We will miss you and love you always.

It's been a while since Ms. Caballo was my patient but I still touched base with her every now and then.  Her daughters and her husband loved her very much. They took care of her. And she lived for them. 
 
She was a very quiet strength. I will miss her.
