Maria Irene Davila de Cortina, 78, The Lord called her to His Kingdom on December 28, 2015. Born in General Teran, N.L., Mexico on April 5, 1937, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her generosity and kindness touched many throughout her life. She always gave advice to guide us on a straight path. She was hard-working and taught her children the value of education and respect.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Jose Maria Cortina; daughter, Irma; and parents Gregorio and Antonia Davila. She is survived by children: Joel Cortina, Elias and Connie Cortina, Idalia and Bernard Covernale, Imelda Cortina, Iliana and Robert Ruiz, Irene and Luis Cervantes, and fourteen grandchildren.
Visitation (5-9 pm) and Rosary (7pm) on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Mass at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, December 31, 2015 at 11 am. Interment at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, Texas following celebration.
