

Mary Duron was known as many things to many people. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Mary will be remembered as a very loving and caring person.
She was the daughter of Francisco and Librada Perez. Mary grew up in the magnolia area of Houston.
Mary was raised with 13 siblings. Mary was usually involved in all sorts of activities with her siblings. She and her siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.
A typical teenager, Mary had a fairly happy high school experience, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. She enjoyed some classes more than others, having favorite subjects and teachers.
Empathic and loyal, Mary was committed to making her new family happy.
Mary worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Mary was blessed with three sons, Gavino, Andrew & Ben. Another blessing for Mary was the gift of ten grandchildren , Andrew Jr., Michael, Alec, Gabriela, Ben Jr., Christopher, Seth, Isabella, Abby and Joshua. She also had two great grandchildren, Nala and Penelope Duron.
Mary found pleasure in sports. She participated for many years in local bowling leagues. Mary was also something of a sports fan and enjoyed following her husband and children to local parks for watch fastpitch.
Mary passed away on June 29, 2022 at home in Houston, Texas. Mary fought a brave battle against cancer. She is survived by her husband Gavino Duron, sons Gavino, Andrew and Ben. And numerous grandchildren. Mary was laid to rest in Forest Park Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
Simply stated, Mary was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Mary leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Mary Duron.
A visitation for Mary will be held Thursday, July 7, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A funeral service will occur Thursday, July 7, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A committal service will occur Thursday, July 7, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023.
